Which editor are you using and where exactly do you right click on the table?

Not mine, I'm only using it :)

If VS is involved most likely some registry entries are not set correctly during the installation process. Perhaps a previous error report can help you. Check it here: 6.2 Crash Visual Studio & Freezes Notepad++

Regarding the registry: messing with it can be dangerous, so carefully!

why dont i see your menu context when im right click on the table ?

im using sql server 2008 r2

im using the product both in 2008 (regular) and 2008 r2

in the regular version ( as image attached) , i do see the context menu. when i right click on a table.

however - when im on the 2008 r2 , im not seeing it. ( but sql qssist is working when typing) , i just dont see it when right click on a table.

why is that ? also i dont see in the regular menu - the import / export data section .... again its only not appearing in the R2 version.

why is that ?

The version of server isn't important. The version of the editor is. Are you using the same version of SSMS or different? Are they both installed on the same system?

Does right-click menu work for database items? For schema items? For functions/procedures? For tables in other databases on the same server?
I'm asking so many questions in order to figure out whether the issue is SSMS version specific or context specific.

It is still unclear from your responses whether you run 1 or 2 different SQL Server Management Studio versions (so called SSMS) 2008 and 2008R2.
It is unclear if the menu is SSMS version dependent on connection / database dependent.

Please unswer the previously posted questions to clarify the situation.

By the way, I see that SQL Assistant settings have been heavily customized. There is absolute no need to uncheck all the assistance types, targets, etc... as that doesn't give you anything, just makes it easier to break the settings. I suggest you start with importing factory default settings.

I don't see it it. Which specific picture do you think demonstrates 2 SSMS versions installed?

Can you finally answer my questions about database specifics, and whether the issue with the menu in SSMS Object Explorer is context specific? If you want to get help here, please make sure to provide responses to what you have been asked to check, not to your assumptions.

Lastly, which SQL Assistant version/build are you running? Was SSMS 2008 r2 installed before or after that SQL Assistant version installed.

Hello

Im sorry if i didnt understand / or we didnt understand each other.

in my computer i have sql 2005 version installed + sql 2008 r2 version installed

each had an installation of ssms :

one is smss ver Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 10.50.2500.0
the other one is Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 9.00.5000.00

when im on ssms 2005 and connecting to an 2005 instance , i do see the Sql assistant menu
when im on ssms 2008 and connecting to an 2005 instance , i do NOT see it.

my sql assistant ver is : 6.2.107 enterprise edition

I did had a previous version of sql assistant before installing the new version.
so i uninstalled the prev version , and installed the new one.
(which caused me problem with the vs2010 to crash , untill i deleted the reg which had ????????? - and now it works.)

Was SSMS 2008 r2 installed before or after that SQL Assistant version installed ? before.

Hi. Here is the latest status update.

We were able to reproduce the issue with complex SSMS 2008 R2 setup and SQL Assistant add-on for SSMS Object Explorer. The issue appears to be specific to SSMS 2008 R2 and 2008 R2 Express. We're looking for what can be done to support these two SSMS releases.
